Potential Work Stoppage Miami and PEV Terminals starting Sept 30 2024

Potential Work Stoppage 9/30/24

Port of Miami Terminals and Port Everglades Terminals ( Union)
( Exception any Non Union Terminals)

Dear Valued Customer,
Please be advised that in the unfortunate event of a labor disruption, we want to plan ahead and notify you 2 weeks in advance of this possible scenario. A work stoppage on the east coast has not occurred in 50 years and we would like to keep you informed.

*Containers that are already in demurrage (calendar days per the tariff) will stay into demurrage until terminal is open again for deliveries.
*Containers in free time will stay in free time until terminal is open again for deliveries as per terminal communications
*Terminals strongly suggests picking up all live reefers by 9/30. We expect to be working all weekend to pick up containers.
*Tuesday 10/1: Anticipated work stoppage.  SFCT states they  will not be liable for any live reefer containers remaining on terminal during the labor disruption.  The reefers will be plugged in but not monitored. No other Terminals have notified yet in writing of their position.
* Monday 9/30: vessel operations to cease at 1800, and vessel will be urged to depart
* Monday 9/30: open gate for import reefer pickup and empty reefer return ONLY.
Note: last day to pick up dry imports and return dry empties.
*Saturday 9/28: open full gate from 0800 to 1700 for dry/reefer/damages.
*Terminals will not be receiving exports as of 9/30 if strike occurs.
*Friday 9/27: last day to receive export dry and export reefer for vessels working prior to 09/30 if strike occurs.

We hope that the above is not needed and we will let everyone know if anything changes or if anything changes to the above.  We appreciate your business and thank you in advance for allowing us to service your drayage needs.

Please note for weekend services there will be a surcharge. If you wish to have service either expedited or weekend please email us at rates@go-freight.ai for a quote.
