Interstate 90: 3,101.77 miles
It is the longest east–west freeway in the United States at 4,862 km and 3,021 miles (4,021 miles). Starting in Seattle, Washington, it goes through the Pacific Northwest, the Mountain West, the Great Plains, the Midwest, and the Northeast, ending in Boston, Massachusetts. Aside from serving 13 states, the highway has 16 auxiliary routes, primarily situated in major cities like Chicago, Cleveland, Buffalo, and Rochester
US Route 20: 3,365 miles
The U.S. Route 20 or U.S Highway 20 (US 20) connects the Pacific Northwest to New England and is one of the United States Numbered Highways. Since it has a “0” after its route number, US 20 considered a major coast-to-coast highway. The new Interstate 90 runs approximately parallel to the route of the older Interstate 90 (I-90) longest road in us, spanning about 3,365 miles (5,415 km).
US Route 30: 3,073.00 miles
The United States Route 30 (US 30) runs east-west across the northern tier of the country and is part of the United States Numbered Highway system. There’s a good portion of the Lincoln Highway-the first road crossing the United States from New York to San Francisco-that’s become part of the US 30, a road which is still called that in many parts of the country.
Interstate 10: 2,460.34 miles
The Interstate 10 (I-10) highway forms the southernmost cross-country route in the Interstate Highway System of the United States. There are 2,460.34 miles (3,959.53 km) along the I-10, making it the fourth-longest Interstate in the United States.
Interstate 10 connects the Pacific Ocean at State Route 1 (SR 1), Pacific Coast Highway, in Santa Monica, California, to Interstate 95 in Jacksonville, Florida. The I-10 connects most of the major cities, including (from west to east) Los Angeles, Phoenix, Tucson, Las Cruces, El Paso, San Antonio, Houston, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Gulfport, Mobile, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville. The longest part of the freeway is located in Texas, where the road is the widest one in that state.
US Route 6: 3,207.22 miles
A main route of the United States, United States Route 6 (US 6), is also known as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway in honor of the American Civil War veterans association.
This route connects two diagonal routes that are not in order with the rest of the Highway grid in the western US. Until the late 1960s, US 6 only ran east of Erie, Pennsylvania. Subsequent extensions mostly replaced the older segment. US 6 does not contribute to any major transcontinental artery, unlike other highways.
Interstate 70: 2,153.13 miles
Interstate 70 is one of the largest interstate highways in the United States. Beginning in Cove Fort, Utah, and ending in Baltimore, Maryland, this highway takes you eastward. The route stretches for 2,153.13 miles (3,465.13 km) through 10 states. In addition, it passes several significant cities in the heart of the United States like Denver, Kansas City, St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Columbus.
Interstate 95: 1,908.74 miles
The east coast Interstate 95 (I-95) links Miami, Florida with Houlton–Woodstock, the border crossing between Maine and New Brunswick. It runs from U.S. Route 1 (US 1) in Miami, Florida to the Houlton–Woodstock Border Crossing. Except between Savannah and Washington and between Portland and Houlton, the route largely follows the Atlantic coast and US 1, although both take a more direct route inland.
US Route 12: 2,483.01 miles
US 12 is a longest highway in us that runs east-west between Aberdeen, Washington, and Detroit, Michigan. It is almost 2,500 miles (4,000 km) long. In the U.S., Interstate 90 (I-90) and Interstate 94 have mostly replaced Interstate 12, but unlike most U.S. routes that were superseded by Interstates, US 12 remains an important connection for both local and regional travel. At its western terminus in Aberdeen, Washington, the route intersects US 101, while its eastern terminus is located near the University of Detroit Campus Martius Park, near Michigan and Cass avenues.
Interstate 94: 1,585.20 miles
I-94 (Interstate 94) connects the northern Great Plains region of the United States to the Great Lakes region. Billings, Montana, is its western terminus; Port Huron, Michigan, is its eastern terminus, where it meets I-69 and crosses the Blue Water Bridge into Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, where it becomes Ontario Highway 402; and South St. Paul, Minnesota, is its northern terminus. This is the only east–west Interstate highway that has a direct connection to Canada, as it lies along the primary overland route from Seattle (via I-90) to Toronto (via Ontario Highway 401).
Interstate 35: 1,568.38 miles
Interstate 35 is the tenth longest highway in us. This highway goes north from Laredo, Texas at the border with Mexico, all the way to Duluth, Minnesota. The route is 2,524.06 kilometers long (1568.38 miles)
